About Us

The Hobart Magazine was established in 2018 as a community lifestyle magazine for people who live and work in Hobart. We started with 10,000 copies that you could pick up for free. We’re now across Tasmania with a statewide audience.
We’ve now grown to 21,000 copies being distributed to letterboxes in inner suburbs, and via Hill Street Grocer, cafes, retail outlets, waiting rooms and public places from Bridgewater in the north, all the way down to Huonville in the south and out as far as Dodges Ferry. We’re also now across the island – with a large footprint in Launceston and in tourism hotspots across Tasmania.
We also create a digital version and the articles posted here on this site. It’s fair to say, our print footprint covers most of Hobart and our digital offering is enjoyed here and from afar.
The Hobart Magazine acknowledges the Tasmanian Aboriginal People as the Traditional Owners and ongoing custodians of lutruwita, Tasmania. We pay our respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and to their Elders past, present and emerging.
